A 'Management Game' was organised at the Head Office of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (Marketing Division). The Head Office Training Centre conducted the game, as part of management development scheme for the middle management cadres, spanning four months (January - April'1994). Kumar was declared as winner of the game. A certificate, in this regard, was awarded to him.
It was a very challenging task which involved lots of brainstorming.
The certificate of the Management Game was awarded, in the presence of top executives of Indian Oil Corp. Ltd., by late Shri Subir Raha, the then General Manager (Human Resources), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.
Shri B Ashok, who later became Chairman of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., was looking on.
Subir Raha later became Executive Director of the Oil Coordination Committee, under whom he worked. He retired as Chairman and Managing Director of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.
